We know that it’s a difficult time for many local people. If you’re experiencing hardship and your income isn’t covering basic essentials like food, we’re here to help. Here are some options to help you find what you need. Anyone who has been given a Foodbank Voucher through a referral agency, is welcome to come along and collect their groceries from The Yard.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Foodbank provides three days of nutritionally balanced, non-perishable food, and essential toiletries, for each person in your household.
All services provided at the Yard are for anyone who needs them regardless of ability, age, cultural background, ethnicity, faith, gender, gender identity, ideology, income, national origin, race or sexual orientation. Come as you are.
The Yard is our base for a range of community-focused initiatives including Tea + Toast, Job Club, Foodbank, Growbaby, Exploring Faith and much more. There’s always a warm welcome.
Our Foodbank advisers will be available to offer any further advice to help resolve problems that may be causing financial hardship and Foodbank need – most commonly around benefit payments, or when people have lost jobs, working reduced hours or are too unwell to work.
You will receive a warm welcome at The Yard and refreshments will be served.

We rely on donations and will happily accept any of the following items:
– Cereal, Soup, pasta, rice
– Tinned tomatoes/pasta sauce, lentils, beans and pulses
– Tinned meat, tinned vegetables
– Tea/coffee, tinned fruit, biscuits
– UHT milk, fruit juice
– Toiletries, hygiene products, feminine hygiene products
– Formula, nappies, baby wipes and equipment
