Love Christmas

Our Christmas Response to COVID-19

How you can help

This Christmas, SWLV is taking part in a national initiative called Love Christmas to help us all spread the power of practical love, hope and kindness to people struggling this winter.

SWLV will be one of many churches across the UK to take part in delivering a million Love Christmas Boxes to the most vulnerable and isolated.

Whether you volunteer, nominate a neighbour or give financially, your support will help Love Christmas to bring new joy, inspiration and connection to communities across the UK.

Maybe you could invite your family, friends and people from your street to get involved too. The more the merrier!

Nominate A Neighbour

Nominate Your Neighbour

Is there someone you know who is struggling and who could really use a gift of love this Christmas?

You can nominate that person or family to receive a Christmas box.

We'll be making up boxes & bags of the following Christmas goodies:

  • Meal Boxes: Home-made, frozen, cooked meals, which will be packaged and delivered ready to heat and eat
  • Essentials Boxes: Essential groceries & toiletries to get you through the Christmas Season
  • Gift Bags: For children, we'll be making up Christmas Gift Bags with a few gifts and goodies
  • Christmas Baking Bags: All the pre-weighed ingredients you'll need to make a wonderful Christmas recipe of Christmas Brownies. A fun Christmas gift for all the family
  • Bags for the Homeless: We want to give out bags to those who find themselves homeless this Christmas with things like: Socks, Gloves, Warm Hat, Chocolate, Tissues etc.

Please nominate your neighbour by filling out the form below and, if you'd like, we'll deliver the box to you for you to give to your neighbour.

Christmas Presents Giveaway

A Time To Give

Given the very many challenges of this year, as in previous years, we want to be a blessing to those around us most in need.

Current restrictions make collecting our usual Gift List somewhat problematic and so we're asking people to give financially - no matter how large or small - so that we can give Gift Vouchers from SWLV to enable people to buy gifts for themselves, their families & their loved ones this Christmas.

We will be collecting money to give vouchers to women escaping domestic violence & survivors of trafficking and school children from families in need from the following:

Ark, Putney, Academy

The easiest way to give is by following the link below to make a donation. 100% of your donation will go to those in need this Christmas.

A21 Christmas Hampers

'Our Christmas Hampers for Survivors are all about hope. Items like these are a special gift for survivors in local shelters this Christmas.'

1 Grid

Every year A21 sends Christmas Hampers to survivors of human trafficking living in local shelters and this year they've asked for our help!

Given current restrictions, rather than supplying gifts, we're being invited to purchase gift items from A21 wish list, which will be delivered directly to their depot before being packaged up and sent to those most in need.

You can find out what gifts are available here: A21 Amazon Wish List

Gifts range from £3.00 - £20.00+ and you can buy just one or as many as you like!

When you purchase your gifts, please ensure you have selected the A21 delivery address (which should show up in your list of contacts). You can also add a message to your gift if you would like to.

Please share this link with your friends and family.

In order to ensure delivery to local shelters before Christmas, A21 have asked that all gifts be purchased by Thursday 3 December
