Spirituality cannot be separated from generosity and the teachings of Jesus compel us to give of our finances to those in need and to commit ourselves to an attitude of generosity.
We want South West London Vineyard to be a church where every member contributes financially to the life of the church in whatever ways they can. The amount we give isn't as important as the heart behind it. The important thing is that each of us gives what God has asked of us – He knows our hearts, our circumstances and the cost of our sacrifice.

The Lunchbowl Network, Kenya
Over the past few years we have committed ourselves to giving away everything that is collected through the offering baskets on a Sunday to a variety of nominated charitable organisations. This term (Sun 1st Sept - Sun 25th Nov) we will be giving all Sunday offerings to the work of The Lunchbowl Network, Kenya. Many of you will have heard Sally McGreevy talk about the amazing work the team are doing in some of the poorest parts of the Kibera and, in order to continue serving these children and families, they are in need of financial support.
It doesn't matter how big or small your financial gift, just put it in the offering baskets on a Sunday and we will ensure the whole amount goes to this wonderful expression of the kingdom of God. If you are a UK taxpayer you can claim Gift Aid on any donations by placing your offering in a Gift Aid envelope (available from the Welcome Desk & in the offering baskets). This will increase your gift by 25%.

We recognise however that as our children grow and develop we too need to grow and develop our parenting. Please join us as we create space to reflect, consider our parenting and learn from each other.
South West London Vineyard are hosting three parenting courses in the Autumn term 2019 at Ark Putney Academy, over five Tuesday evenings with dinner provided. The relaxed, informal courses will be run by experienced facilitators, who as parents themselves have weathered the challenges and joys of parenting.
All three courses are suitable for parents/carers from all different backgrounds and family structures. We hope you will choose the one most suited to your needs:
Parentalk - The Primary Years
For parents/carers of children aged 0-10 years old. The course, produced by Care for the Family, aims to equip and provide tools for the stage of parenting you are in and as you look forward to the next stage.
Parentalk - the Teenage Years
For parents/carers of children in Year Five upwards. The course, produced by Care for the Family, aims to help parents/carers do the best job they can as they navigate these years with their teenagers and soon-to-be teenagers.
Parenting Sensory Children
For parents/carers of children up to 18 years old that have difficulties processing sensory information. The course, run by an experienced occupational therapist, aims to provide up-to-date information and equip you with parenting tools and skills to parent your sensory child, especially when it can be challenging.

We are looking for someone to cover the maternity leave of our Bookkeeper, starting mid/late November. This could take the form of a part time Bookkeeper role or a (up to) full time Bookkeeper & Administrator role.
BOOKKEEPER (MATERNITY COVER) - PART TIME
Hours - 14 hours/ week
We are looking for someone who could cover the maternity leave of our Bookkeeper - this could be someone who has experience working with financial information or a specific bookkeeping qualification. We are keen to find someone who understands our values as a church, who takes initiative, is a keen learner, has good communication skills and has a proven record in dealing with confidential information.
The post holder will take overall responsibility for planning and delivering an efficient and compliant bookkeeping service to the Senior Leaders and Trustees. Responsibilities will include bookkeeping, financial reporting, compliance reporting, HR reporting and communicating with church members on giving related issues.
BOOKKEEPER & ADMINISTRATOR (MATERNITY COVER) - UP TO FULL TIME
Hours - up to 35 hours/ week
We are looking for someone who could cover the maternity leave of our Bookkeeper and take on various administrative duties alongside this, for a role that could be full time or part time (between 14 - 35 hours/ week). A successful candidate would be someone who has experience working with financial information or a specific bookkeeping qualification, as well as an excellent eye for administrative detail. We are keen to find someone who understands our values as a church, who takes initiative, is a keen learner, has good communication skills and a proven record in dealing with confidential information.
The post holder will take overall responsibility for planning and delivering an efficient and compliant bookkeeping service to the Senior Leaders and Trustees, as well as responsibility for delivering ministry-related administrative support to the Senior Leaders and Leadership Staff. Responsibilities will include bookkeeping, financial reporting, compliance reporting, HR reporting, communicating with church members on giving related issues and general administrative duties necessary to facilitate the smooth running of the church office.
